A disproportionate number of rooms in my house are green. The other day, I got to thinking , "I wonder why that is?" (I do so love this about January - the only month whose gift is time for aimless rumination).
My first thought was: "Bringing the outdoors in is always a wonderful idea." And coming in second: "Have you ever met a color that doesn't match its stem? Green goes with everything!"
If it were another month, say April, that would be that - good answer! But I can see into your pretty heads, my dear readers, I see those wheels are turning, as I know you can sense mine catching traction ...
Green means GO. Green is nature. Green is life. Crocus shoots poking their bishop caps through the snow. An emerging new blanket of grass. Tiny buds muscling their way through the tree bark. Green is the color of growth.
