9/27/21 - Back to Campus
This is the first fall in 11 years that I haven't had a parents weekend.   Feels a little weird.  Actually it feels pretty great.   Thank you to all the amazing teachers out there.     And to all the other parents who took my boys into your house or under your wing while they were far from home.   Yes, I'm definitely feeling net net great - I am also carrying just a smidgeon of wistfulness, wishing I could time travel back to a highlight here and there...

9/20/21 - Back to Town
I used to say "summer isn't over until you come home".   Well I am home, and I am embracing being back to town.    There's lots to love in fall dressing, like the ease of chic solids, offset with a signature accessory.   Keep it simple ... black, navy, grey, beige or dark chocolate - add a unique scarf or necklace, et voila, an effortlessly elegant look.  Below are some iconic style inspirations, and a dash or two of fun.

9/13/21 - Falling into the Forest

Why I went to the woods ... unfortunately it was not to follow in the footsteps of Henry David Thoreau.  I went to the woods because a fall collection is really hard for me to design.   I don't like brown or orange or rust or gold.   I like coral and aqua and pink and lilac.   I like sitting by the ocean, or being in it or atop it.  I like the feel of the sun on my brow, and the garden getting more glorious everyday.   I get a mean case of the blues every year when summer ends.

8/30/21 - Back to  School

I hope the children in your world are well and thriving as they step back into their school year.   When I was a little girl, I was always dorky enough that I looked forward to the start of school each fall.   And also to getting that brand new box of 64 pristinely beautiful Crayola crayons.   When I became a mother, things switched and I dreaded the beginning of the school year, which meant an end to the unstructured days of carefree summer fun for me and my two boys.
