My husband and I just finished the watching BBC's remake of the Jules Verne classic,  Around the World in 80 Days.   The German actress Leonie Benesch was particularly enchanting in the role of fledgling journalist Abigail Fix (above), and the lavish sets did not disappoint this devoted Masterpiece fan - see them in Architectural Digest here.   Read more here

After last year's "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad" winter, I didn't expect to be saying this, but I cannot wait to kiss this February goodbye.   I'm soooo ready for the warm sun on my face along with a big dose of vitamin D - and perhaps some vitamin sea too, please.

This Monday finds me bubbling over with inspiration and love.   Lucky me spent three days last week with entrepreneurs and creatives at The Southern C Summit, an annual conference at the Cloister resort on Sea Island.    Highlights included talks by Garden and Gun editor Hutch Hicklen, Tuckernuck cofounders September Rinnier Votta and Maddy Grayson*, and fashion designer Lela Rose.

One more cold grey January day,  and I sat at my desk feeling isolated and Covid weary.    "My goal for the week is unadulterated positivity", I wrote.     A worthy endeavor indeed, but alas, I wrote that in a Monday Love Note almost exactly one year ago today.    Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
